Alex Kedrov

Former Bolshoi, Boston, Memphis Ballet soloist, co-founder of Siberian Swan Pointe/Ballet Shoes.

Graduated from Moscow Choreographic Institute, and joined the world-renowned Bolshoi Ballet Theater under the direction of Yuri Grigorovich. Mr. Kedrov's repertoire includes a wide range of solo roles in classical and contemporary productions, some of which were shown on TV and video filmed such as Spartacus, Ivan the Terrible, Romeo and Juliette, Legend of Love, and many others. First performer of the title role in the ballet “Little Prince” by G. Mayorov, with whom he later worked in Tokyo, Japan as a guest artist.

By Leonid and Valentina Kozlov’s invitation, Mr. Kedrov took part in the “Stars of Ballet” tour in Taiwan where he performed in Walpurgis Night, Balanchine’s Tschaikovsky Pas de Deux, and Flames of Paris. In 1990, after Bolshoi Ballet USA Tour, Mr. Kedrov was invited to join Boston Ballet company as a soloist under the direction of Bruce Marks, and Anna-Marie Holmes, where he had a chance to work with known Western choreographers and broaden his repertoire.

His dancing has drawn rave reviews around the country. Critics praise his power, leaps, talent, and passion. Mr. Kerdov has participated in many gala concerts and tours.

In 1997 Mr. Kedrov was the recipient of the Individual Artist Fellowship Dance Award for Arts Commission of Tennessee.

Since 2020 he has been serving as a judge, and master class teacher at the Jewels Festival and Dance Annual Competition.

Mr. Kedrov has also been a guest teacher with many various ballet schools, teaching ballet, character dance, repertoire, variations, pas de deux, and coaching artists.
