Jamie Moore
Jamie started her dance training at Cary Ballet Conservatory at the age of 5 and danced there for 13 years. At CBC she joined both their resident ballet and jazz companies. She had many opportunities to perform with the companies and guest artists, a favorite being the chance to participate in and perform at the Arizona Jazz Dance Festival.
After graduating from CBC Jamie attended college at the University of North Carolina Greensboro where she is currently working toward her B.F.A in dance performance and choreography as well as a B.A. in political science. At the University of North Carolina Greensboro Jamie studies under B.J. Sullivan, Justin Tornow, Duane Cyrus, and Janet Lily. She also works closely with Professor Robin Gee and has had the honor of performing as a member of Dr. Gee's African dance company Sugarfoote Productions. While in college Jamie has attended the American Dance Festival, and had the opportunity to study in Auckland, New Zealand under professors Sarah Foster, Michael Parmenter, and Kim Bergh as a part of the contemporary dance program at UNITEC Institute of Technology.
Jamie currently teaches in both the Cary and Greensboro areas. She is excited to be joining such a wonderful team of teachers at CBC that inspired her passion for dance and hopes to do the same for her students!
