Nicki Loud

Originally from Seattle, Washington, Nicki trained in all style of dance at Turning Pointe Dance Centre. At 16, she was presented with the national title of New York City Dance Alliance Senior Outstanding Dancer. Shortly after, she began traveling the country with dance conventions such as NYCDA, Co. Dance and Tremaine as an assistant to many choreographers, including Joe Lanteri, Mia Michaels, Andy Blankenbuehler, Doug Caldwell, Eddie Garcia, Joey Dowling and Cris Judd. Since then she has worked on So You Think You Can Dance, Season 2 and 8 as assistant choreographer to Tyce Diorio and also assisted Mark Meismer with his choreographer for Dancing With The Stars guest artist, Martina McBride. In 2007, her choreography debuted at the Joyce Theater in New York in the Rock n' Roll show, "REVOLUTION", which toured North America through the Spring on 2009. Nick received an "Outstanding Choreographer" award at Youth American Grand Prix for her piece "The Hills", performed by SYTYCD Canada finalist, Kirsten Wicklund. Her work has also been showcased at 'Nvitational' in LA and "Dancing Under the Stars" in Utah. In the summer of 2012, Nick was awarded Best Choreographer at the NYC Dance Awards and invited to be a finalist for the third time at the Capezio A.C.E. Awards in NYC. In the past year, Nicky has appeared as a guest dance on Stacey Tookey and Gene Gabriel's new web drama, "Chasing 8's", returned from Paris, France where she worked on the the famous French television show, "Vivement Dimanche", was personally asked by Kym Johnson to help choreograph a new piece for Dancing With The Stars and has spent much time teaching and choreographing in Costa Rica. Nicki is excited to be the newest faculty member of Troy Dance BFA program in addition to continuing to share her passion for dance all over the world.
