Suzanne Moreno Murley
Suzanne Moreno Murley began her dance training in the Royal Academy of Dance syllabus and received her Pre-Elementary certificate. She continued her training with Maryland School of Ballet, mastering the Vaganova and Chechetti methods. Suzanne attended Towson State University and graduated with a BA Cum Laude from Point Park College (University) in Pittsburgh, PA. She dance with Towson State University Dance Company, Pittsburgh Opera Company, Playhouse Theatre and represented her schools at the American Dance Festivals. After receiving her degree, she returned to the Washington DC area to perform ballet, modern and jazz with Arlington Dance Theatre, Dancin’ Unlimited and Cultural Center for Social Change. Suzanne performed with Wolf Trap Opera Company, Opera Theatre of Northern Virginia and USA Philharmonic Society. Suzanne and her husband, Scott, moved to North Carolina in 1995 where she worked for Glaxo/SmithKline and then Biogen as an Administrative Assistant and in human resources. In the same timeframe, she continued in ballet by becoming involved with Cary Ballet Conservatory since its opening in 1997. Suzanne initially taught and choreographed for the Conservatory and choreographed for the non-profit Cary Ballet Company. Suzanne began serving as the Administrative Assistant to the Company in 2003 helping with the rehearsal schedules. Over the years, she gradually took on additional responsibilities such as orchestrating Celebration of Children in the Arts, the Daddy- Daughter Dance, community outreach contact for Town of Cary/Cary Arts Center, completing grants and joined the Board of Directors. Suzanne was promoted to Administrative Director in 2010. Suzanne is a proud member of the Cary Ballet Conservatory faculty and finds her work with the Ballet Company to be very rewarding.
